Skype says my application will stop working with Skype in December 2013, why is that?

#api #blogit #podcasting #skype | Skype has announced that they're shutting off the Desktop API in December. I checked with the developers of some of my most-used 3rd party apps (Shush, Call Recorder, Audio Hijack Pro), and for the most part everything's cool. My scripts and LaunchBar actions will break, though, and that makes me love Microsoft less. Again.
